FACEBOOK reminded me that two years ago today, I posted the following:
When is losing like winning? When there are 1300 entries and your story makes the top 45! The story, When Walls Weep, is excerpted in part from an unpublished novel, One for the Ark, and placed on the long list for the Raymond Carver Prize for a Short Story. And in just a few weeks, ONE FOR THE ARK will be published. In December, 2015, “When Walls Weep” was published in The Florida Review and was one of two finalists for its Editors’ Prize. and that was several years after I first started writing the novel! I hope you’ll find it worth the wait. And then you’ll understand the flamingos!
