Happy to report that my new novel, HARMONY”S PEACE & JOY, was named a finalist for the William Wisdom/William Faulkner Prize for an Unpublished Novel. Didn’t quite make the short list, but still nice to have this encouragement for a manuscript which I’m been working on for a couple of years and which has been significantly polished, I think, since the contest deadline last April. I’ve been reading it in workshops with Fred Shafer and with Elaine Loeser, and it keeps getting better all the time. David Bloom has also given me a close editorial read. The Kinstugi blue pot pictured here is just a teaser! Nothing happens soon in the book world, but I’ll say it anyway: “Coming to a bookstore near you soon!”
