Markers, my novel-in-progress which asks the question whether you want to know if you have a genetic disease, has been named a Finalist for the William Wisdom/William Faulkner Novel-in-Progress prize given by The Pirates Alley Faulkner Society. The Society sponsors Words & Music, an annual writing festival and conference, which I have attended several times and which I will attend again this November.
